TillyTec Torches

We have long been fans of TillyTec modular torches as they come either with umbilicals and Goodman handles or as hand held torches. Several different heads are available, with 2 different battery sizes - depending just how much burntime you need. They also do a great little back up/recreational torch (MPL series) .

2014 Season

We can't believe that the 2014 season has gone so quickly and that we haven't updated this blog for so long - hopefully you have been following us on Facebook to see what we have been up to this year. It has been a fun year with lots of PADI, SDI and TDI certs, from Open Water to TDI Advanced Trimix CCR.

We are looking forward to 2015 and have just had 2 new L+W compressors installed to make our gas filling even more efficient. The 2 new 300ES II replace our previous 280S compressors. We took delivery last week and have started using them straight away and look forward to them being used in tandem next season.

Out with the old, in with the new

SDI Deep Diver course

The SDI Deep course is designed to teach divers how to plan and execute deep dives to a maximum depth of 40m.

You get to do all the theory online before you come to Cyprus so you don't waste a sunny day in the classroom AND  the 2 course dives are done on the wreck of the Zenobia. So you get to dive one of the best wrecks in the world whilst getting your Deep certification.

SDI's Deep Diver course is a must for any diver wanting to explore a little more and will teach you the risks and benefits of deep diving. Many interesting sights lie just beyond 18m, such as beautiful wall dives, ship wrecks and sea life.

In order to sign up for this course you need to be an Open Water diver with 10 logged dives and be over 18 or over 10 with your parents consent (maximum depth for 10-15 year olds is 21m) .

During this course your SDI instructor will take you on 2 dives which cover skills such as:-
  • Proper descents
  • Air Management
  • Effects of Nitrogen Narcosis
  • Dive Planning.
The course costs 199Euro which includes the online code for the theory and the certification card. You do need to pay for kit hire you need. All students must complete a medical form, but you only need to see a doctor if you answer YES to any of the questions.

For more information on the SDI Deep Diver course, contact us on larnaca@dive-in.com.cy or visit our website at Dive-In Larnaca or the SDI/TDI website at SDI Deep Diver.
