Easter Weekend 2013

A busy weekend in between eating Easter Eggs...

Congratulations to our group of trainee stunt men and women who all reached the 40 dives required for their PADI Divemaster course later in the year.

Thursday saw Alessio, Jonny and Neil going off to their PADI IDC - GOOD LUCK guys

Then on Friday as well as finishing Filip's TDI APD CCR Air Dil Deco course we welcomed Rolls Royce SAC for a week of diving the wreck. Diving a mix of APD units and twinsets this group looks set for a fun week.

Deep Diving in Cyprus

Dive in Larnaca welcomed back an old friend yesterday with Dmitry Podolsky and friend Yury.

Dmitry is one of the few divers in the world who like Chris has dived to below 200m.

Although they completed their achievements at different times they both relied upon Apeks regulators to get them there and back safely.

LIDS London 2013

Dive-In Larnaca had a very successful trip to London last weekend to attend LIDS with the Cyprus Tourism Organisation and promote diving in Cyprus.

We met up with many customers past and present as well as answering questions about the current Financial situation in Cyprus.

The turnout at the show was good considering the weather. Waking up to snow had not been on the agenda!! Although Chris came prepared ....

Tec50 and Divemaster in Larnaca

Congratulations to Neil on completing his PADI Tec50 today. He did his final dive just off the wreck of the Zenobia at 50m.

There was also a couple of Tech dives with Jamie in the Accommodation and Upper Car Decks.

Other guests include a group of trainee stunt men and women who are here for 3 weeks building up their dives in order to start their PADI Divemaster course later in the year - a requirement for becoming a "stunt person".

Jonny and Alessio continued building up their experience as Trainee Divemasters by leading a couple of dives before they head off to their PADI IDC on Thursday.

Everyone is doing a night dive in Green Bay tonight.

Wreck Diving In Cyprus

Larnaca in Cyprus is home to one of the best wreck dives in the world - the Zenobia. The wreck is only 3 minutes by boat from our dive centre, which means we get to dive the wreck twice a day and return to the dive centre for the surface interval in between dives.

We can take experienced Open Water divers along the top rail, Recreational divers in and around the wreck to the limit of their experience and qualifications,

  or CCR and Technical divers deep inside.

We are open all year from mid February to mid December. 

What you may not know is that there are 3 other smaller wrecks to dive in Larnaca Bay too,the wreck of the Alex - a fishing boat, the HMS Cricket and a small yacht at 18m.

Welcome to the Larnaca Blog

The Dive-In Larnaca Centre is situated on Piale Pasa in the Mackenzie area of Larnaca just 8 minutes drive from the airport and is the specialist Technical diving arm of Dive-In Ltd as well as being a recreational dive centre. It is just 15 mins walk from the centre of Larnaca and surrounded by local restaurants and reasonably priced accommodation. The centre offers collection from and to the airport during office hours and from hotels in Larnaca Town and Dhekelia Road areas. The centre is only a 3 minute boat ride from the world famous wreck of the Zenobia (Xinovia) where, as well as recreational dives and courses, you can do Technical dives and Technical diving courses – using the wreck as a platform. The centre is a fully equipped Technical diving centre with Nitrox and Trimix available and is CCR friendly with lime and  O2 to 200 bar.
